Battery problems with 1.2.6

Anyone else (still?) having battery problems with 1.2.6?  I connected my 
iPod to my desktop machine for a couple of _days_ to let it fully charge, 
unplugged it overnight, and when I fired it up this morning it flashed the 
battery icon and shut down.

I'm wondering if the battery charging process stops after the battery is 
full, and then the "Do Not Disconnect" display runs the battery down...

Any thoughts?
