Senior Java / C Engineer

Position Summary: AdOn network is currently seeking a Senior Java/C
Engineer for a Linux environment to join our rapidly growing, fun,
cash-flow positive company. The Senior Engineer will architect and
re-engineer AdOn's systems with particular focus on scalable caching
solutions related to delivering large amounts of data to a rapidly
increasing client base.  The successful candidate should have a good
understanding of, and practical experience with, Java, JNI, and C web
and network application development. The candidate will serve as a
subject matter expert, and be able to work independently with little
direct supervision as well as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.      Architect and develop AdON's high scalable caching solutions
2.      Ownership and accountability of certain parts of the products
3.      Assist in translating client feature requests into architectural plans
4.      Peer code review
5.      Maintain AdON's ( on-call availability ) ad delivery system in a
production environment

Other Job Requirements:  
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Masters degree is a plus.  
5 or more years of hands-on experience. 
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that will allow
the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be
considered.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. 5 years of enterprise server-side Java programming in a Linux/Unix
Environment  2. 3 years C network/socket programming. Python
experience is a plus 3. Strong Java skills and object oriented design
experience, including working knowledge of core libraries, design
patterns, JSP and servlets. 
4. Experience with version control and build tools such as SVN and ANT
5. Experience in working within a high volume, high availability
environment. 6. Understanding of Internet protocols and networking
communication. 7. Knowledge of Web technologies and Web servers 8.
Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills 9. Knowledge of
session management, object relational mapping, XML web services, and
agile development methodologies.
10. Test plan development and implementation.
