Software Engineer

Open Position: Software Engineer

_Standard Statement:_

The Chatfield Group, located in Mesa, was formed six years ago to 
provide businesses of all sizes with software solutions that give them 
the edge over the competition. Our client base is diverse – behemoth 
multinational corporations, to mom-and-pop shops – and the suitable 
candidate will have the desire and ambition to hone their skills in a 
diverse field of environments, languages and requirements.

_Duties and Responsibilities:_

Assist with the development and documentation of software application 
requirements. Develop software applications and libraries under the 
direction of the TCG Technical Lead(s). Create and update documentation 
for applications, libraries and API's. Effectively communicate 
outstanding issues and problems to Technical Lead(s) and Project 
Manager(s).

_Minimum Qualifications:_

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field of study, or 
any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which 
comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been obtained.

_Desired Qualifications:_

Experience in: developing software according to the requirements; 
implement software specifications; perform quality assurance of 
developed software in a schedule driven environment; developing 
applications and libraries in Java; developing web applications using 
servlets/JSP; developing PostgresSQL database applications; working with 
web services and related technologies; JUnit unit testing framework 
experience; code source control frameworks such as CVS; working 
knowledge of Unix/Linux; debugging applications and libraries, using 
debugger applications. Demonstrated knowledge in: XML; HTML; Javascript 
; Effective written and verbal communication skills. Effective in 
organization skills. Experience in problem solving independently. 
Experience working independently and in team environment.

/Travel Industry experience (especially Sabre GDS) is a plus/.
