Oracle Java Developer II Job Opening - Tempe, AZ

Java Developer II who will be responsible for web based application
development, systems integration, web site development and maintenance.

*Responsible for systems integration between current and legacy systems.
*Responsible for web site development and maintenance in an Oracle
Portal/J2EE environment.
*Partnering with internal and external customers to identify, evaluate,
and develop applications and procedures that are cost effective and meet
user requirements. 
*Creating and designing technical specifications that represent
developed applications. 
*Adheres to Software Development Lifecycle processes.
*Adheres to Sarbanes-Oxley related processes (i.e. IT Governance)
*Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of systems and data
requires documentation, design, and development of application systems
and processes.
*Exercises judgment and adherence to defined SDLC practices, and
architectural governance frameworks/guidelines. 
*Collaborates with business partners to research existing business and
system functionality. 
*Work with other developers to collaborate with respect to system
architectural decisions. 
*Provides operational system support as needed.
*Maintains close coordination with other application development
personnel, including application setup validation with data analysts, QA
Analysts, and programmer analysts throughout the project lifecycle. 
*Assists in project estimating, planning, scope analysis, and
coordination.
*Assists in managing team and client expectations along with mentoring
other team members.

Required Skills:

*4+ years experience developing in a J2EE environment that is based on
an Oracle database. Technologies and toolsets include but are not
limited to: Java, Javascript, JSP, HTML, XML, ODBC, JDBC, OLAP, Perl,
PL/SQL, AJAX, Struts, TOAD, SQLNavigator, and Oracle Forms.
*Experience with database connectivity
*4+ years experience with full system development life cycle modeling
for developing business software solutions. 
*3-5 years experience with relational database concepts (preferably with
Oracle) and related tools (e.g. PL/SQL, TOAD, SQL Navigator)
*Working knowledge or experience with software development
methodologies, multi-tier architecture, GUI, and web page design 
*Expertise with the Oracle eBusiness Suite (i.e. Oracle Applications)
schemas.
*Experience implementing, augmenting, and/or supporting an Oracle
Applications-based ERP system.
*Ability to think creatively when dealing with web design and process
improvement
*Ability to prioritize requests and manage projects to meet target
delivery dates
*Experience translating documented user specifications to standardized
applications.
*Experience working closely with project managers, analysts, and end
users.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical/problem
solving experience to deal with complex business problems, and business
and technical expertise to be proficient in communicating business and
technical requirements. 
*Basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements (e.g.
change management)
*Understanding of software development methodologies and tool sets (e.g.
Rational Unified Process) a plus
*Experience interfacing with offshore development centers a plus
*4 year college degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related
field or equivalent experience.
