Information Systems Security Manager - Chandler, AZ

Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
Location: Chandler, AZ 
Terms: Direct Hire
Status: Full-time

Job Description/Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience (or equivalent combination
of experience and education): 
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess a BS in Computer Science or
equivalent experience, plus at least seven (7) years of progressively
responsible related experience. 

Skills Needed: 
Extensive knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies; completion of various
Department of Defense (DOD) courses related to government security is
preferred; analytical ability to understand and interpret DoD and
company security policies and procedures; must also be fluent with the
DoD National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM),
DoD 5220.22-M, requirements; strong understanding of protection levels
and levels of concern for information systems as outline company
security policies and procedures; demonstrated ability to work
independently; working knowledge of computer operation systems to
include but not limited to Windows NT, 2000, and XP, and Solaris-Linux
(UNIX) OS, as well as system functions, security policies, technical
safeguards, and operational security measures; DoD Secret Clearance is
required but Top Secret Clearance is preferred. 

Duties Specific to the Position: 
Responsibility for maintaining compliance for all DoD classified
computer systems and classified networks in accordance with the
NISPOM. Develops, implements, and maintains classified computer system
security plans, and submits to the Government for accreditation, as
well as Standard Practices and Procedures, training and awareness,
approvals for access to classified systems, and monitors and audits
compliance in accordance with government regulations. ensures the
development, documentations, and presentation of IS security
education, awareness, and training activities for management, IS
personnel, users, and others. Indirectly manage the Information System
Security Officers (ISSOs) for multiple accredited IS. Identifies and
documents unique local threats/vulnerabilities to IS. Coordinates the
facility IS Security Program with other facility security programs.
Ensures that periodic self-inspections of the facility's IS Program
are conducted as part of the overall facility self-inspection program,
and that corrective action is taken for all identified finings and
vulnerabilities. Additional duties include, but are not limited to,
acting as liaison to Cognizant Security Authority (CSA) with regard to
security issues, coordination of investigations of security
violations, assistance with administration of Special Access Programs
when related to the protection of classified and unclassified
information that resides on cleared computers, self inspections, and
coordination with company ISSOs. Travel may be required as directed.
Other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications:
BS or equivalent experience and seven years of related experience is
required.
