IT Project Manager (SAP/ERP) - Scottsdale, AZ

My client manufactures and sells consumer products and employs more
than 2,300 people worldwide.  The successful candidate will be one
seeking a role to manage a 3 person team performing an SAP/ERP
implementation but has the background with the hands on experience
just in case a team member is missing they can step right in and keep
the ball rolling.

Summary

Provide leadership, day-to-day management and project management as
"Team Manager SAP Cross-Application Services (XAS-North America)".
This manager and his/her team will support the global and regional SAP
application landscape in SAP-Basis, SAP-Authorizations and
SAP-Archiving in the North American region.   
The manager serves as application management leader and has primary
responsibility for managing and coordinating all priorities and
activities for this team as part of a global competence center. 

Responsibilities 

Manage the regional cross-application services team (XAS) - as part of
global IT Application Services - to support global and regional SAP
landscape in the areas of SAP-Basis, SAP-Authorizations and
SAP-Archiving. 
Ensure stability and performance of application portfolio within the
competence domain. 
Work closely with global competence center in Europe on common
initiatives, global standards and rollouts. 
Take over project management for selective key initiatives within the
defined competence center domain. 
Manage and coach staff involved in application maintenance, -support
and -implementation. 
Work with staff (currently 3 internal employees) to define annual
targets, evaluate performance and support their development. 
Prepare, reconcile and monitor team budget with focus on investment
planning, development, and service delivery cost. 

Minimum Requirements 

College degree in related field. 
5 plus years experience managing IT professionals or consultants
(internal and external resources). 
8 plus years experience with SAP R/3, preferred in SAP-Basis,
SAP-Authorizations and SAP-Archiving
5 plus years experience in managing IT projects, preferred SAP
implementations. 
Experience with complex ERP implementations and interfaces. 
Experience with application lifecycle management, including defining
requirements, design, development, enhancement, maintenance, and
shut-down Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a
demonstrated focus on customer service Strong ability to interact,
communicate and influence within multiple levels of the organization
(regional / global). 
Experience in working in global teams in a direct and virtual manner. 
20% travel time requirement (North America and Europe).
