IT Security Auditor

We currently have an opening for an IT Security Auditor at our Tempe
location.

 

Under the supervision and guidance of the Director, Internal Audit, the
IT Security Auditor is responsible for continually assessing the
physical and logical access controls at CPG, Inc. and performing IT
related audits according to the yearly audit plan. The purpose of these
assessments is to provide the Company's management with reasonable
assurance that client/company data and other assets are adequately
protected from unauthorized use.

 

 

AREAS OF INVOLVEMENT:

 

1)     IT Security Audits

*        Conduct risk assessments to help develop the yearly audit plan.


*        Determine compliance with established policies, procedures and
regulatory requirements.

*        Act as a liaison between the IT Department and external
auditors.

*        Perform/report results and recommendation of IT Security
Audits. 

*        Produce and maintain a list of open audit/security issues, and
communicate issues to the appropriate management levels.



2)     Security Event Monitoring

*        In conjunction with IT Staff, develop and execute processes for
capturing, monitoring, and reporting on logical access security events.

*        Develop and execute processes for capturing, monitoring, and
reporting on physical access security events.

*        Communicate recommendations to management for improving logical
and physical controls as new vulnerabilities are identified. 

 

3)     Facility Access Management - Responsible for granting requests
for access to Tempe, AZ facility and other secure areas using our ID
badge system.  Must supply management with access lists quarterly for
their review to ensure access privileges remain appropriate.



 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

*      Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability
to convey factual information in easy to understand terms with
individuals at all levels of CPG, Inc.

*      Ability to apply technical knowledge and place findings in proper
perspective relative to the risk to the organization. 

*      Strong conflict resolution/problem solving and influencing skills
with the ability to convey negative information in a friendly and
supportive manner while providing solutions. 

*      Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and
carry out a number of audit related projects simultaneously while
meeting deadlines and maintaining a high degree of accuracy. 

*      High standards of honesty, ethics, and integrity. Properly
safeguarding confidential material. 

*      Ability to work accurately and independently, while seeking
advice under the appropriate conditions. 

*      Effective computer skills 

*      Knowledge of security monitoring, tracking and scanning tools



 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

*      Bachelor's degree required

*      Two to four years of IT auditing experience required

*      Big four audit experience preferred, but not required

*      CISA or CISSP certification or other relevant certification
preferred, but not required
