Report Analyst / SQL Server Developer

Chandler, AZ - A small business developing a successful home-builder's
sales automation system is looking for an individual who is technically
experienced and talented at managing their own projects.   This person
must be self-reliant and love thriving in a small growing company with a
team of professionals who are enthusiastic about the work they do.

This individual must have superior organizational skills to manage
custom report requests from a large client base.  Responsibilities
include developing the custom reports in Crystal, maintaining the
existing reports, and implementing the completed projects.
Communication with end-users is key to the needs analysis stage, and
time and cost estimates will need to be prepared for each report.  There
is an existing QA team that will offer help in testing the reports prior
to production.

Also involved in the Crystal report process is SQL development.   We
need this individual to write T-SQL stored procedures and views against
a normalized SQL Server 2000 database in order to support the custom
report requests.  This person will also maintain existing SQL Server
2000 methods for querying data, and offer performance tuning guidelines
and other ways to improve performance.

Required experience:

*  5+ years of SQL Server experience, with solid working knowledge 
   of stored procedures, triggers, udf's and complex joins
*  2+ years of advanced Crystal Reports experience, v8.5 or higher
*  Excellent Business Analyst skills (to include strong problem 
   solving and analytical abilities)
*  Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
*  Ability to coordinate meetings with customers, draw out 
   information to create report specifications, and develop cost 
   estimates
*  Detail oriented, independent and yet able to maintain a team 
   player's approach
*  Self-motivated / leadership qualities

Other desired skills:

*  SQL Reporting Services a plus
*  Visual Basic 6.0 experience for opportunities to advance 
   into software development

Job location is Chandler, AZ.  Salary is dependent on experience and
practical knowledge in the areas required.  SQL test required.  Please
