Software Quality Assurance Manager

We currently have an opening for an Software Quality Assurance Manager at our 
Tempe, AZ location.  This individual will manage the Software Quality Assurance 
Department.

Responsibilities and Duties: 
1. Oversee and direct the daily operations of the Software Quality Assurance 
Team. This is to include hiring, training, mentoring, and coaching Sr. QA 
Analysts and QA Analysts.
2. Create and maintain quality standards. This includes articulating the 
quality assurance vision, conceptualizing and implementing monitoring, 
measuring and testing techniques and tools.
3. Partner with IT Managers and Business Users to understand required software 
functionality and ensure that deliverables are being met in a timely fashion.  
4. Provide leadership to the testing team, identifying needs, prioritizing 
tasks, and writing/reviewing detailed, accurate test plans.
5. Display leadership in automating software testing processes, improving QA 
productivity and reducing bugs reported in the field.  Implement a structured, 
reusable Test Case library and Bug Tracking tools.  
6. Demonstrate strong project management and leadership skills. 
7. Ability to develop team work plans, implement strategies, and communicate 
with senior management staff.  Routinely multitask from the tactical to the 
strategic as well as from leader to manager to individual contributor all in a 
fast paced environment. 

Educational Requirements and Qualifications: 
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in directly managing multi-product 
Software QA teams. 
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the software testing field, in the role 
of quality assurance analyst, lead analyst, supervisor and/or manager. 
• Detailed understanding and experience following a structured software 
implementation methodology.   
• Current knowledge of UI, load, stress, performance & memory testing 
techniques and tools. 
• Strong understanding of relational database and software application design.
• Proficient SQL skills a must.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
