Senior Software Developer Engineer

Expanding company that provides infrastructure services essential to running
Windows-based networks and providing access to critical business systems
presently has openings for two Software Engineers. This company is growing
and there will be opportunities to move up.

Sr. Software Engineer (Position 1)
Designs, implements and maintains complex commercial software products.
Analyzes complex technical requirements and works with others to develop
innovative and robust software solutions.

Software Engineer (Position 2)
Post-release software engineering of fixes and new release functionality to
fully support and extend product line, which emphasizes Microsoft® Active
Directory network troubleshooting and monitoring, as well as Novell Networks
support. Specific responsibilities with (position 2)include:
· Work within a team to quickly resolve issues (escalations) via code
changes or other technical workarounds to resolve customer problems or add
functionality to the software products.
· As required, communicate with customers or internal to isolate problems
and provide resolutions.
· Utilize the full range of languages and technologies to successfully
repair and augment the product to ensure customer satisfaction,
communicating changes to pre-release engineers to ensure that change(s) are
proliferated through product life-cycle.
· Program, test and support planned software product releases, service packs
and software upgrades.

 REQUIREMENTS
Skills/ Requirements - (Position 1)

Essential:
*Bachelor*s degree in computer science, computer information systems or
related experience.
*Minimum three years C++ and C# development experience in a Windows
environment.
*Ability and initiative to learn new technologies quickly.
*Good working knowledge of software development lifecycle, best practices,
and methodologies.
*Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Beneficial:
*Experience developing commercial off the shelf software.
*Experience with XML, SQL, IIS, LDAP, ADSI, *
*Experience with distributed network architectures and monitoring
applications.
*Experience with directory technologies * Active Directory, eDirectory.

Skills/ Requirements - (Position 2)

· Three years minimum experience developing consumer-market software
applications.
· Three years minimum experience using C++/C# programming language and
object-oriented programming principles.
· Strong communications (oral and written) and interpersonal skills a must
· Knowledge of networking technology (LAN, WAN, Internet/Intranet, TCP/IP)
· Working experience with Microsoft Windows NT/2000/2003 OS Active Directory
a strong plus.
· Strong experience using Microsoft Visual Studio development environment
and debugging tools preferred
· Experience with C# and .NET managed code a strong plus
· Expertise in multi-threaded application design and development a strong
plus
· Experience with LDAP, ADSI and COM a strong plus.
· Experience with SQL (or MSDE) a strong plus.

Education and certification:

Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related field (or
equivalent work experience).
