Senior Sun Solaris/Unix Administrator-----Phoenix, AZ

Position: Senior Sun Solaris/Unix Administrator
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration:  Permanent position
Salary Range: $85K - $95K 

Must be US citizen or green card holder only.
Experience with WebLogic is REQUIRED for this position. 

Looking for a Senior Sun Solaris Unix Administrator as
follows:
Three years of experience providing Solaris administration and 
support, and effective verbal and written communications skills to 
consult with
management, users, and software vendors.

Sun Solaris knowledge and experience with WebLogic and RedHat 
Kickstart (WebLogic experience is Required)
Sun hardware knowledge and experience.
Experience in a fast paced, mission-critical enterprise environment.
Experience in building and maintaining web site infrastructure.
Experience with security on a Sun platform.
Experience with DNS/Bind.
Experience with and proficiency in shell scripting.
Experience with and proficiency in PERL scripting.
Experience in Security and UNIX system hardening.
Experience with Veritas software: File System, Volume Manager, 
NetBackup
Experience with Apache.
Experience with FreeBSD/Linux.
Experience with Network Appliance Filers.

*Provides system support for all Sun and Intel hardware, Solaris, 
Linux and FreeBSD operating environment, and applications running 
under
Solaris, Linux and FreeBSD. 

*Supports internal development and test environments as well as the 
production web, application and database
environment. Implements, monitors and maintains systems and 
application software running under Solaris, Linux and FreeBSD. 

*Works with software vendors to provide optimum system performance 
and availability.

Key Responsibilities
1. Maintains Solaris hardware and operating system to provide 
optimum performance and system availability.
2. Maintains and updates the operating environments (development, 
test, production) running on Solaris, Linux and FreeBSD systems.
3. Supports software vendors to ensure application software is 
installed correctly and all current maintenance levels have been 
applied.
4. Works with LAN/WAN personnel as well as software developers to 
insure compatibility with LAN/WAN applications and peripheral 
hardware to
    provide end users with reliable and stable working environment.
5. Supports and maintains vendor software installed on Solaris 
servers.

Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or
mastery level skill in Solaris administration
