Perl/JAVA Developer position in Phoenix

Key Skills: Perl, JAVA, CGI, DBI, LWP, SQL. OOP, Web hosting, Data 
Center

Location: Downtown Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 6+ months (possible extension)

Primary Duties:
- Develop a wide-range of new products for web hosting customers
- Maintain and enhance existing applications written primarily in 
Perl and Java
- Work with various departments on creating tools to improve 
customer support

Required Skills:
- Previous experience working in a web hosting/web data center firm 
- Must have experience with web hosting and/or on line development
- Perl (2yrs+), with knowledge of core modules (CGI, DBI, LWP etc)
- Java
- General UNIX shell skills ? we use mainly FreeBSD, but also some 
Linux
- SQL (MySQL, Oracle)
- Apache configuration and maintenance
- Must be willing & able to work in a fast paced environment 
- Must be willing & able to work overtime as required + 24/7 on call
- Must be available to do what it takes to get the system going in 
the event of a crisis

Desired Skills: 
- UI design skills ? CSS, XHTML, Javascript etc
- OOP, mod_perl, SOAP::Lite, Template Toolkit
- General system administration skills 
- Versioning ? Subversion/CVS
