CIO needed at local University

Chief Information Officer

Grand Canyon University is seeking a highly qualified Chief Information
Officer to provide leadership for all technology and related services
that support student learning, teaching, and administrative functions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

*        Directs information management budgeting, strategic and
tactical planning, business process re-engineering, and database system
strategy.

*        Oversees planning and implementation of all business
information systems in support of the University's mission.

*        Directs the information strategy of the company based on
forecasting information from senior management.

*        Identifies user needs and directs building of MIS teams to work
across all levels of the organization.

*        Explores new technologies for future planning and potential
implementation.

*        Interfaces with industry on information management and
information technology matters.

Qualifications:                                                

*        Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or eight to ten years
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.

*        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Experienced
in managing a large IT staff.

*        A strong technical and administrative background with prior
experience in a CIO or VP of IT role.

*        Demonstrated experience in evaluating and linking together
diverse business systems within an organization.

*        Experience in negotiating contracts, licensing agreements and
maintenance agreements

*        Must represent the University in a positive manner that is
consistent with the school's Christian mission, guiding principles and
philosophy.
