response for over 1,000 Local Area Network (LAN) clients and
microcomputers.  Directly supported worldwide military operations
providing 24x7 troubleshooting support on AFWA's microcomputers.
Ensured all clients had LAN, e-mail, and Internet connectivity.
Installed and configured mandated software patches to ensure systems
meet stringent DoD security standards.  Provided technical solutions and
evaluations in a client-server environment satisfying new operational
requirements with state-of-the-art technology.  Tracked, reported, and
provided solutions on all microcomputer issues.  Maintained
accountability of all microcomputer hardware and software resources.
Developed and maintained training guides and operation procedures for
problem solving techniques.  Trained microcomputer personnel on
troubleshooting and installation procedures.
 
*         Streamlined computer inventory procedures for entire Kadena
Air Base computer system accounts.  Created services to monitor and
track Air Force automated data processing equipment (ADPE) using the
Information Technology Asset Management System. Inspected ADPE accounts
providing lifecycle and cost information; directed and ensured adherence
to annual inventories; tracked new acquisitions, transferred equipment,
and prepared disposals; prepared monthly reports and bar code labels for
distribution; deactivated accounts of departing ADPE custodians; and
created new accounts and provided training to new ADPE custodians.
 
*         UNIX System Administrator.  Provided technical support,
customer service, and emergency response for Air Force Weather Agency's
$3M multilevel security production UNIX servers.  Directly support
worldwide military combat operations ensuring 24/7 hardware
troubleshooting, system administration, and hardware configuration
management on production UNIX platforms.  Installs and configures
mandated software patches to ensure systems meet stringent DoD security
standards.  Performs initial setup, configuration, and testing of new
operating systems, software, and hardware platforms operating in the
UNIX environment.  Utilizes centralized network management tools to
ensure system reliability.  Write and maintains UNIX shell programs to
automate system administration processes.  Performs system administrator
training.  Provides technical evaluations and system solutions for the
procurement process ensuring systems meet mission requirements.
 
*         Resolved all customer calls with 95% efficiency while
performing duties of Help Desk Lead Technician. 
 
 
 
 
Hardware Field Technician, Networks 2000, April 2004-December 2000
 
*         Provided on-site hardware support for Compaq/HP equipment to
include servers, laptops, printers, and desktops.  Responsible for
troubleshooting and repairing non-working equipment.  Communicated with
