SQL DBA

For large company in North Phoenix(7th Avenue and 101).  Long term contract,
pay is up to $60 an hour on a W2 basis only...
 
SQL DBA
This position defines local database and security policies and procedures.
He/she performs database management and monitoring, backups, recoveries,
capacity planning, configuration management, database design and stored
procedure development.  Additionally, this position provides on-going
support for Visual manufacturing, acts as focal contact to the software
vendor (Infor), applies patches and upgrades and maintains the integrity of
the Visual Manufacturing System.  This position also assist developers with
database design, development and test bed establishment, query development
and data loads.   Maintains exceptional service levels with all business
units. 
Technical Requirements:  Extensive experience performing DBA activities in a
MS Windows environment managing and administrating SQLServer databases.
Experience with Oracle databases is not a requirement, but is definitely a
plus.  The candidates should be experienced creating database "run books"
and developing specific database backup and recovery procedures and scripts.

SQL Server DBA experience.
Transact SQL scripting                         
transaction log management
SQL Profiler                                   
SQL Administrative Toolset
Query Analyzer                                 
Alerts
Index Tuning                                   
Creation of performance log metrics, capacity metrics
performance monitoring                         
Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM)       
Experience working with SQL Error Log          
Experience working with SQL Agent Log  
Any experience supporting Visual Manufacturing is a definite plus (although
not required).
