Thank you for taking the time to keep us posted on radrails.

Good luck with your new venture, the area is definitely interesting.
I have the feeling that for the main part information is created with
contextualisation, so this sounds like a step forward.

The future and our startup: Persai

Hey all, I just wanted to write a note about the future of RadRails and our new venture. The radrails.org and radrails.net domains have been successfully transferred over to Aptana. They are providing lots of community resources and have a full time commitment to the RadRails community. Check out their RadRails documentation @ http://aptana.com/docs/index.php/RadRails. Again, I'm excited to see what they do with the project as they integrate our stuff into their existing IDE. Matt and I are being brought onto the Aptana team for the next few weeks as consultants to finish off some features we didn't get a chance to do. They include: 1. Capistrano and Deployment support 2. Friendly and helpful configuration errors 3. Integrated help (assuming RDT can simply reference more RDoc locations) 4. Fast Ruby and Rails debugging 5. Testing improvements and integrated code coverage 6. Rails Refactoring support 7. Ruby support for Aptana HTML editor Now I want to take a moment to tell you a little bit about our new venture... Persai is a startup that seeks to apply advanced machine learning techniques to content and advertising. We are using Amazon's web services to build a scalable architecture that will learn from consumer interests over time and match them with content crawled from around the web. The idea behind Persai is that you will have an active agent crawling the web looking for content that is relevant to you and only you. Every link we recommend will be something you want to read. We are zigging to social news' zag where popularity trumps relevance to the individual. That is Persai in a very very brief nutshell. I will be explaining more and more as we get closer to our beta on our blog. If you want to be notified when our beta or alpha launches head over to www.persai.com and we'll notify you when the service is ready. We're not sure how many accounts we'll be giving out for each stage so for the moment it'll have to be first come first serve. We plan on treating Persai like an open source project with a personal touch. Like every other open source project communication tools are vital. Here are some resources to connect with the project: http://groups.google.com/group/persai (mailing list) http://blog.persai.com (blog coming soon) http://www.persai.com (signup and main landing) #persai (irc) Thanks again for all of your support throughout the last 18 months of Rails tooling. It's been a blast and I hope you join Matt and I for our next adventure.
