Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Pham Cong Dinh (pcdinh) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Suggestion: Implementing code folding options Initial Comment: Hello all, We all know that PHPEclipse has a long standing bug related to Code Folding enabled by default when open a new editor. This bug make all the code comment for documentation with /** and */ being collapsed by default and the reformatting with right-click -> Source -> Format or Ctrl+shilf+F make Eclipse freezed. To make the formatting go smoothly, you must expand each collapsed node (+) manually until all nodes are expanded. It is a time comsuming and tedious task when working with a long file with many functions or classes and each of them is well documented. I am using the lastest PHPEclipse build from CVS. Eclipse does not have any command to expand all nodes at a time. Meanwhile, PHPEclipse currently does not have any facility to tune code folding options such as disable code folding on class comments, function comments or header comments when opening a new editor. I am sure that this feature is more and more desired. While this is not imlemented yet, I need to install Java Plugin and use its code folding tuning feature to make all document code comments expandable all when open a php file. However, it is a workaround only. Have anybody here had a look at this plugin http://www.coffee-bytes.com/servlet/PlatformSupport It is aplugin for enhancing code folding feature for Eclipse. Any feedback are appreciated.
