Thanks for the effort. Unfortunately bugs 1454529 and 1438406 (in fact they are the same) are not fixed and they have been the only annoying thing that has kept me from using the CVS version full time. I know how to comment out the code that inserts the extra bracket, so I might just do that from now on but I wonder if there more people that may not upgrade because of that. The bug was introduced by the fix of 1416503 and that much was understood by the developer. I think that the current logic that is used for []'s and ()'s brackets cannot be used for {}'s. From what I can tell that is not the way the Java editor works (but I haven't yet been able to figure out how it works either). Any thoughts on how this should be done? I've spent some hours trying to fix this myself but with no success.
