Study finds new answers to age-old question: What is life? http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/health/study-finds-new-answers-to-age-old-question-what-is-life_100487762.html Friday, January 14, 2011 3:33:26 PM by ANI Washington, Jan 14 (ANI): In a new collection of essays, experts from all walks of life - philosophy, science, and molecular evolution - present a variety of perspectives on defining life. According to David Deamer at University of California, Santa Cruz, a definition is required to help determine what is and is not life as scientists begin to develop artificial life forms in the laboratory. And to investigate what appear to be life forms on other planets in the future. Mark Bedau, Reed College (Portland, OR) and the University of Southern Denmark (Odense), relies on the Program-Metabolism-Container (PMC) model to define minimal chemical life. According to Bedau, this integrated triad of chemical systems is all that is needed for a living organism to maintain its existence, grow, reproduce, and evolve. Antonio Lazcano, National Autonomous University of Mexico, and colleagues present an historical perspective of the many definitions of life put forth over the years and why they have been unsatisfactory. Steven Benner, Foundation for Applied Molecular Evolution and The Westheimer Institute for Science and Technology (Gainesville, FL) describes how chemical structures capable of Darwinian evolution might be useful as universal biosignatures. Deceased Ukranian scientist Sergey Tsokolov asserts that feedback loops should be an essential component of any definition of life. Life could not exist in the absence of negative feedback, concludes Tsokolov. “Our authors rose to the challenge, and their ideas and perspectives are genuinely new. It was a pleasure to work with them and help them wrestle with this difficult and complex problem,” said Deamer. The essays appear in Astrobiology. Re: [Everything doTERRA] AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm)

Hawthorne berries can be taken in a syrup form...it is a sweet syrup aka is specifically a heart food. When treating this, you want to be more aggressive than the condition so dose accordingly.  (My recommendation is 1 tablespoon every waking hour for the first week. Then you can assess where his progress is and dose accordingly. He may need more, or less depending on how he is progressing.) You can not overdose on hawthorn berry syrup because it is a food, so there is no danger there. I would recommend having him also take the Lower Bowel Formula the Dr. Chritopher's makes. It has cayenne in it and will aid in eliminating any toxicity that is released from his heart. Garlic can be taken internally as food, as the capsules loose most of the effect, but not all. He should probably be getting at least 5 cloves in his diet each day. It sounds like a lot, but it is a wonderful natural antibiotic and will work in conjunction with the the berries and with the cayenne. If he is willing to drink a cayenne drink, you can go that route, too. Simply blend up 1/4 tsp. of cayenne with 1 cup if warm water (preferably distilled) and add enough honey to sweeten. Drink 3-5 times/day. Cayenne, again, is a wonderful food for the heart. I hope that that offers some help. [CardioTrainer Users] Permanent Account

Hi I have been trying to create a permanent account in CardioTrainer. I have a google health account. Everytime I click on the 'ok' button on the agreement, the app freezes and eventually force closes. At first I thought this due to me not using @gmail.com account, So I (reluctantly) reset my phone, and set it up with a proper gmail account. But I still cannot set up a permanent account. Through google, I found some other users also have this problem, but I have not seen any reasons/resolutions. I would really like to get this working. Thanks Damien -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CardioTrainer Users" group.
