Is your network switched at all?

I saw very odd results when I moved my Audiotron from one port on a cheap
switch to an 802.11b bridge. The access point was on a different port of the
switch, and I saw frequent packet loss, as if something in the network still
thought the AT might be on another port, but it was ~75% packet loss, not
100%, so it was pretty odd.

Restarting the network devices (switch, AP, and bridge) solved the problem.
I didn't spend the time to track it down further.

Yes, the AT is not full-duplex. (I always like the lights labeled "f'd up"
on a switch.)

Subject: [AT] New guy question

I apologize if this is an oft-asked question, I've poked around the manual
and the AT site some, and haven't found anything about this:

Are the interfaces in the Audiotron supposed to be half duplex?

I think mine is showing up that way, and it is acting strangely when hooked
up to my DLink wirelessG bridge. I can stream music from the server, but
the server can't see the AT back. I can't get to the web interface, or ping
the AT's interface. When I had the AT hooked up to a router, which was
hooked up to the bridge, it worked in both directions, sometimes. I was
seeing ~65% packetloss on pings to the AT from the computer, and similarly
spotty performance back to the computer. At least with it hooked up
straight to the bridge, i can play music reliably. Oh, and when i had it
hooked to the router, if i hooked my laptop up to that, it could see the
server fine, and vice versa. It is very odd.

Has anyone else seen anything like this before?

Thanks!!!

Jon
