Power supply transformer replacement

Because of the vibrations it produces (just too much), I want to replace
the transformer of the powersupply. I've measured the voltage, which was 12
Volts. So that's easy. But now I need to know the current of the system. I
have read a topic about powerconsumption. It states that the
powerconsumption is about 12-13 VA. What kind of transformer is big enough,
regarding powerpeaks at startup. I was thinking about 30 VA, but maybe 20
VA is sufficient.

Does anyone know?
