Thanks Kimmo!  Your sed command works fine in Cygwin (a set of Unix shell
commands for Windows), except that in GNU sed, "-E" is "-r".  I'm having
trouble executing a script in Cygwin bash, but I'm sure I can work that
out.  I'd thought about using sed, but I'm not an expert, and I didn't
know that it had this style of advanced regex matching and replacement.

I'll look for a standalone sed on download.com and post a Windows command
file for using it here.
