I made a change to Bery Rinaldos version of attoc.pl (which works with a
samba vfs) to add support for reading FLAC tags. (I was trying to add
support for .ape files as well but couldn't find a perl module).
Would these additions be of use? (they're not necessarily very elegant,
but I've never used perl before or since, and it seems to work for me.)

Subject: [AT] ANNOUNCE: new attoc.pl (test release)

Wow. I've been trying to get back to work on my TOC creation script for
a really long time... finally managed it! Whew!

I haven't done all the changes I've wanted, but I've made a couple of
big ones. They aren't thouroughly tested, but I thought I'd throw the
code out here to let people beat on it if they'd like.

For those not 'in the know', attoc.pl is a perl script, for unix hosts,
for generating the audiotron's TOC file. It sorts everything right and
builds a nifty TOC for the audiotron to load.

I'm not going to dig through a bunch of stuff (yet) to find all the
changes, so here's the big one:

- ATTOC.PL NOW CACHES THE STATE OF YOUR MP3S, AND ONLY PROCESSES
ONES THAT HAVE BEEN UPDATED SINCE YOUR LAST TOC BUILD

The cache doesn't require any extra files, because it's the TOC file
itself. Older versions of attoc.pl already write a timestamp into the
top of the TOC file that has the TOC creation date in it, the script
just loads that data and only processes files with a timestamp later
than the one in the file.

Needless to say, this speeds things up _significantly_. From my system:

attoc.pl 0.7 (previous release) : 22m 25s
attoc.pl 0.75 (this release) : 49s

However, USE WITH CAUTION! The caching code has been lightly tested, and
_seems_ to work, but I wouldn't bet my business on it without further
testing.

And, of course, send your feedback to me (elfchief+attoc@xxxxxxxxxx) and
let me know if you find anything broken!

Possible to add radiostation into TOC file

As the subject line suggests. Is it possible to add a radiostation link into the TOC file, so that you actually don't have to connect to the turtleradio.com site?
