(BTW http://www.maxim-ic.com/DSTINIS400 link is broken). Firstly, I'm not the only one who has mentioned this. See Geir's post: http://lists.dalsemi.com/maillists/tini/2003-June/026871.html. I agree with all his points here. Searching through application notes, filtering the inevitable repetitions as they are intended as stand-alone documents, and scouring archives for relevant information is about as inefficient as you can get! Secondly, all the relevant information as Geir says should be collated and put in one place. There should be a TINI User Guide similar to Don Loomis' book for the TINIx400. You should have a full and complete TINIm400 specification that includes a mechanical spec, a *full* electrical spec including capacitive and DC loading headroom information, and complete timing diagrams. Also a complete list of components with manufactures full part numbers. It should in effect be treated like a component in it's own right as I believe a large number of designers will elect to include a TINIm400 module in a custom socket board design; this is a cheap and low risk way of getting a product onto the market quickly, and to do this requires a detailed datasheet with all the information I have mentioned. A lot of this information is already out there, but it is scattered all over the place. Add all this to the lack of support for basic hardware on the TINIs400 and I think I've got a point, don't you? Mark. _______________________________________________ TINI mailing list TINI-6tN4nzCoH/hBDgjK7y7TUQ@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To UNSUBSCRIBE, edit your profile, or see list archives: http://lists.dalsemi.com/mailman/listinfo/tini |
