Re: Netboot problem: msg#00698hardware.microcontrollers.tini
I had the tbin2tbin2 program at one time on my computer and then lost it after I wrote my own tbin converter. If I remember correctly, the tbin2tbin2 program was only designed to handle files consisting of a single tbin block, like Slush. The tiniOS has 7 tbin blocks. Try this same process with Slush and see if you get the same error. You will need to load the TiniOS separately using javakit first to actually boot and run slush. The trick to getting multiple tbin blocks to load correctly is putting them in descending order in your file and changing the crc of all full blocks to be a crc made by calculating the crc of the next higher block, including the empty flash bytes. The guy at Dallas that helped me out with this problem was Robert Muchsel <robert.muchsel-6tN4nzCoH/hBDgjK7y7TUQ@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>. He will be able to provide you with additional code to help with netbooting the tiniOS. Systronix is now able to load multiple blocks of code and arbitrary data into flash using netboot. We are currently in the process of developing this code into additional netboot support for Tstik http:\\www.tstik.com Thank You, Leonard Andrews At 06:27 PM 6/27/03 +0200, you wrote: Hi, _______________________________________________ TINI mailing list TINI-6tN4nzCoH/hBDgjK7y7TUQ@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To UNSUBSCRIBE, edit your profile, or see list archives: http://lists.dalsemi.com/mailman/listinfo/tini |
