Subject: RE: RE: Another post from the same guy about 400 support.

Mark,
I shipped out a handful of very early prototypes in February. The part was
not shipped as a production component until the end of March
(http://maillist.dalsemi.com/maillists/tini/2003-March/024995.html). I was
mistaken earlier when I said April.

We do have significant resources dedicated to the TINI as can be seen from
the number of posts from Dallas Semiconductor engineers.

The serial driver will be made available in a pre-release as soon as
possible. I have an engineer who will begin work next week. We had hoped
he would be able to start sooner but has been delayed with design of another
product.

It is still possible to use serial port 1 and mux with the 1-Wire as a short
term solution. It would require jumpering the serial 1 tx/rx lines to the
RS232 level shifter on serial four.

You mentioned lack of formal documentation in your previous email. We have
many documents on our web site which detail the DSTINIm400 and DSTINIs400.
The datasheets for both are online at http://www.maxim-ic.com/DSTINIM400 and
http://www.maxim-ic.com/DSTINIS400. Many application notes have been
published over the last several months including app notes 712, 711, 710,
615, 614, 613, 612, 708, 703, 704, 609, 707, 709, and 706. These are all
documents which relate to the DS80C400 or DSTINIm400. In addition, we are
heavily advertising worldwide and have published an Engineering Review
dedicated to Networked Microcontrollers. They should be in the mail now for
people who might be interested.
The app notes can be found at
