lirc_serial.ko needs unknown symbol __stack_smash_handler: msg#00082hardware.lirc
Hi list, when I emerge/compile lirc (I'm using Gentoo) I get warnings: WARNING: //lib/modules/2.6.15-suspend2-r6/misc/lirc_serial.ko needs unknown symbol __stack_smash_handler WARNING: //lib/modules/2.6.15-suspend2-r6/misc/lirc_serial.ko needs unknown symbol __guard WARNING: //lib/modules/2.6.15-suspend2-r6/misc/lirc_dev.ko needs unknown symbol __stack_smash_handler WARNING: //lib/modules/2.6.15-suspend2-r6/misc/lirc_dev.ko needs unknown symbol __guard and I can't modprobe the modules: workstation ~ # dmesg | tail ... lirc_dev: Unknown symbol __stack_smash_handler lirc_dev: Unknown symbol __guard lirc_dev: Unknown symbol _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_ lirc_serial: Unknown symbol __stack_smash_handler lirc_serial: Unknown symbol __guard lirc_serial: Unknown symbol lirc_unregister_plugin lirc_serial: Unknown symbol _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_ lirc_serial: Unknown symbol lirc_register_plugin how can I fix this?
