lirc just stop working

hi!

  I used irrecord to generage a config file for sony remote RMT-D126A.
 It was working fine...and one day it just stop working for no
reason....now when I try to re-generate the config file, I am just
getting "no toggle bit found, for RC6"....
and all other remote I tried to use for irrecord give me the same
error...nothing has changed at all...can someone give me any
suggestion?  thanks
