Subject: lirc and mode2

Hey!
At first sorry for my bad english, i'm form germany.

I have a problem with lirc and mode2. I've installed lirc at this way:

- Installed the Linux-Kernel-Headers
- Created a "linux" symlink to the Kernel-Headers
- Configurate my system to compile with gcc-3.4 with "export cc=gcc-3.4"
- Start the setup.sh and compile the program
- Load "lirc_serial"
- Check it with "dmesg | tail" and see :

[4295112.813000] lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, at major 61
[4295112.814000] lirc_serial: no version for "lirc_unregister_plugin" found: kernel tainted.
[4295113.817000] lirc_serial: auto-detected active low receiver
[4295113.817000] lirc_dev: lirc_register_plugin: sample_rate: 0

- Check devices:
$ ls /dev/lirc*
/dev/lirc /dev/lirc0 /dev/lircd /dev/lircm

- Start mode2
- I press the buttons on many differnt remote-controlls but mode2 display nothing

I have a HomeBrew ir-controller. It works perfectly with WinLIRC but not on my linux maschine with lirc.

Can anybody help me? Please :(...

Greats,
Bjoern Ribniger
