Is it the same remote control as in Windows? IMHO igorplugusb can only read RC-5 remotes (Philips etc.), and I couldn't record the codes neither. You can use the prebuilt RC-5 file from the remotes.tar.bz2 on www.lirc.org. Just use it with lircd, then run irw to see the commands that your remote sends. Then you can change the command names in the RC-5 file accordingly (and perhaps delete the other commands). Regards...
