lirc and ati remote
I follow this tuto
(http://fedoranews.org/contributors/youssef_makki/remotewonder/) to make
my remote working.
I installed the lirc rpm compiled with the atiusb driver. I run lircd
without any error but when i want to run irw, lircd is killed with an
error message saying : could not get file information for /dev/lirc. If
i run : ls -la /dev/lir* i could only see /dev/lircd and /dev/lircm but
not /dev/lirc.
I thought this device was created during lirc installation ?
i have to create it ?
How ?
Thanks in advance for the help.

lirc-0.7pre7 vanilla 2.6.8
Hi
lirc-0.7pre7 works fine with my kernel 2.6.4 but I need the 2.6.8 kernel. I
can compile the package without any problems, I can load lirc_serial io=0x2f8
irq=3 and lircd is running and listens to /dev/lirc but with irrecord I can't
record anything. dmesg shows me, that lirc_serial is on my irq and an my
port. Is here someone with a little hint for me?
