Hi,
Newbie here. I lead a senior citizen Tech Forum and we are planning to work
our way through Martin's text book. We have a Handy Board but no Lego
components. I've been searching the Lego site for a kit to use. Basically we
need the Lego Mindstorms Robotic Invention kit without the controller. Can't
seem to find anything. Any suggestions?

Well, you see them coming up on eBay all the time (although not without the
RCX controller) - I just did a search and saw them selling in the $80 to $100
range.

However, if you don't need it, you can sell the RCX by itself via eBay - they
are fetching $40 to $60 which makes the rest of the set look pretty cheap.
(2 motors, sensor, gears, axles and a *bunch* of other stuff for maybe $40)
