Subject: DC Adapter Mod for RCX 2.0? - msg#00066

Has anyone mod'd an RCX 2.0 to accept a DC powersupply? I've gone
through the archives and have noted that there used to be one in the 1.0
model, and lots of grumblings about it NOT being there in 1.5 and 2.0,
but no one seems to have stepped up with a warranty-voider and fixed it
(publicly) yet. If this is the case, I'll probably mod mine in the next
few weeks and publish schematics/instructions one my website, and a note
about it here. Any sage guidance is appreciated.

RE: uCOG V - my tiniest weight shifting walker

Hmm, where does that mini motor come from? I've never seen that piece before. Leif -----Original Message----- From: Kevin L. I can envision a few non-LEGO solutions, including cable with more pliable wires, or hearing aid battery based batter pack, but I doubt I'll bother. > >Thanks for your hard work! You've designed an excellent walker. > >-TJ I "borrowed" the crankshaft, 16T, flex hose, 1/2 pin combo, as well as the 3L perpendicular axle joiner from James Loewen's compact Mighty Might 2: http://news.lugnet.com/technic/?n=10301 and my original attempts were based on Max Pihlstrom's bipEDD. Miguel Agullo's http://www.geocities.com/technicpuppy/lblinks.html LEGO Biped Links page is a great resource for bipedal ideas. I have few bipeds (completely of my own design ;^) there myself. I've updated the building instructions so you only need parts from one micromotor, and re-uploaded them to brickshelf. I also modified LPub to have the vertical margins between parts to be related to the vertical height of the part count, and annotation height. Now the part list image is more compact. Two options... RE: Vision Command

Peter, You have two options... 1) Call LEGO S@H and wait (don't press any buttons) to speak with a representative. Tell them you need the Vision Command XP version. After they get some information, they'll send you a disc. 2) The other option is to go to http://www.abs-robotics.com and follow the links for VC on XP. For this option, you MUST have RIS 2.0 because the Vision Command Updater file is needed (and it is only distributed on the RIS2 CD). Either option works with XP and 2000. I suggest calling LEGO for the CD, even if you use the 2nd option. - Rob -----Original Message----- From: Peter De Wachter [mailto:petedw8t@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sunday, May 11, 2003 9:12 AM To: lego-robotics@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: Vision Command Hi, I have the vision command product for half a year now. It worked great on my old computer running under windows 98, but now that i got a new one with XP it doesn't install anymore. I know this is cause VC doesn't support XP. Is there software for VC that can run under windows XP, and so how do i get it? -Peter- _________________________________________________________________ -- Did you check the web site first?: http://www.crynwr.com/lego-robotics -- Did you check the web site first?: http://www.crynwr.com/lego-robotics

Re: DC Adapter Mod for RCX 2.0?

Take a look at this post: http://news.lugnet.com/robotics/?n=17939 I don't think it voids the warranty.
