Protocol details for explorist 200: msg#00051hardware.gps.gpsbabel.general
A buddy of mine gave me an explorist 200 that he tried (unsuccessfully) to upload new firmware onto, and now it is more or less dead. I know that is not what GPSBabel is all about -- but I'm hoping someone here can point me to some specs on the actual protocol for talking to this thing. My fried loaned me his USB->serial cables, and I've got the firmware and loader program from rhamphorinkx.newmail.ru, but it consistently hangs about 70% of the way through loading. So I'd like to hack on it a bit myself and see if I can get it working. Any/all pointers to sources of information would be GREATLY appreciated!
