Re: RH 9.0?: msg#00383

Subject: Re: RH 9.0?
I did a quick google for some information and found the following.

http://groups.google.com/groups?q=redhat+9.0&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=Xns9348E2FA9E0A0richlandtechnologype%40202.188.95.17&rnum=1

They have a few of the versions that are included.

I would be very wary of jumping on-board too soon considering the
possibility for bugs in such a new release. Has anyone actually seen a
feature list with which we could compare 9 to say 7.3 or 8? It seemed like a
lot of the stuff added in 8 was eye candy, not really aplicable to a server
environment.

Any truth to the Slathdot article about a March 31 release of RH 9.0?
If so, are there any upgrade issues we should start planning for?

I just got an e-mail from RedHat Network that implied the same thing. No

clue

about implications yet.

I'd like to know why the 8.0 to 9.0 jump though.
