Wondering if anyone have RHAS on a PE6650 connected through silkworm3200 to a EMCcx200 configuration?
Have giant problems with the 6.0.4 driver (from Qlogic/EMC) .. Seems to me that system do not accept this driver
- it looks like (to a novice's eyes) that it is booting into the generic driver in the 16 kernel.. 5.31 firmware 3.00.28
At least that is what it is reporting on boot and with 'cat /proc/scsi/*/*'
Have anyone seen this problem?
Additional info is:
- qla2340 cards
- PE6650 A08 BIOS
- qla bios 1.26
I see the EMC drives, everything on that level is OK - but need the 6.0.4 drives to solve 'known problems' as they told me at the Dell golden queue
.. At the same time they told me to use the generic one, this had only shown problems with multiple paths .. To my knowledge that is what we will try to do when I get the second switch..
So .. Should I try to reinstall the qla2x00-clariion-v6.04.00-2.rpm with --force? How should it look like in modules.conf? Alias scsi_hostadapter97 qla2100_6x??
Is this a HW issue .. Incompatibility, anyone read anything (broadcom gbit cards)? Anyone with this line-up but with 2310 cards??
