It appears somehow, the libusb-win32 file that ships with WinAVR does not work, for whatever reason. Remove the libusb.dll (or something like this name) in the WinAVR subtree. Then go to sourceforge.net's libusb-win32 project, get their installer (for the "filter" driver), and run this one. There is also a small test application within that package: it must display your AVRISPmkII, otherwise avrdude cannot see it either. -- cheers, J"org .-.-. --... ...-- -.. .
