UPDATE:HARDWARE: More details on the Zire 72 / New Tungsten will no longer have 
a slider mechanism

Some more additions - 

Jesus Vargas has sent in some details of the Zire 72 although the release date 
is not yet known - Hi everyone, I have more details about the Palm Zire 72. It 
will run Palm OS 5.2.1 with 1.3MPix camera, 56MB usable memory and Physical 
shape/dimensions and graffiti area is exactly like the tungsten E. 

The total specs will be the following -

a.. PalmOS 5.2.1 

a.. 1.3MPix camera 

a.. 64 MB RAM-56MB usable memory 

a.. Bluetooth

At the moment there is no release date but it will be called the Zire 72 and 
have built in bluetooth This also fitted in with the following information we 
also received today -

Dexter, who writes in on a regular basis let me know today has learned that 
Palm may be planning to ditch the slider which is familiar on the Tungsten T 
series because of problems and lack of practically . Dexter said that the 
Tungsten range will get a more Tungsten E look to the design although as of yet 
there are no pictures. Saying that Dexter I miss the old 500 series design and 
if its anything to go by with the TE design we should be in for a treat. 
Remember please this is speculation at this stage.

UPDATE: We know some more information on the possible device. Jesus says that 
it is to be launched between March and April which I think we would all guess. 
It's market will be classed as "multimedia-inclined customers". Additionally it 
has default two hard buttons on the right are: TOP - camera activation BOTTOM - 
music player activation. Camera specs is either 1.3/1.2 MPix. Thanks to Jesus
