Feature Suggestion: msg#00665handhelds.maemo.user
I know this is not the dev list, but as I am not on that list and I know there is both an active group here and participation from Nokia, I thought I'd suggest a small feature for future updates. It seems there is no standard for how developers design home screen applets. I'd like to see there be a mandatory resize function so you could make sure that things could be smaller or larger as needed. Two examples are the GPE-Calendar and Canola applets which I'd make smaller. I like how the RSS reader can be fully resized (both dimensions) which makes it easy and highly functional to use. When I ran the GPE applet, I had only a few events listed but fully half my screen was lost to it. The Canola applet is pretty large as well, and you don't really need that massive a button to hit unless you are wearing gloves... ;) I'm sure there are others, but those are certainly top of mind...
