kernel driver did not recognize device

Hello everybody

I am writing this letter in accoding with advice in 
"SynCE - Linux USB HOWTO" to let you know that 
COMPAL PALMAX GDA1 pda is not rcognized by kernel driver.

Hardware/software configuration is as following:
