I. How to use
Download the binary and validate the md5sum. If the md5sum is wrong, do
not continue, so your flash contents will not be affected. You need a
card less-or-equal 1Gb.
Unpack the image:
$ bzip2 -d romfile-64.bz2
Write the image on the card:
# dd if=romfile-64 of=/dev/sdX
where /dev/sdX is your SD/MMC card name.
NOTICE: it should not be a partition, like sda1 or mmcblk0p1; it should
be a raw device itself (like sda or mmcblk0).
Sync.
$ sync
Insert the card into your PDA and press <Reset>+<Addressbook>+<iTask>.
You should see "HP invert" logo with backlight off. After a while, it
will print something like "press POWER to flash". Press <Power> button
and wait till it goes up to "100%". It should say "checksum fail", which
is normal, because I do not know the way to calculate checksums for HTC.
Then reset your device. It should start with a nice menu.

II. Warning
Of course, I am not going to hold any responsibility of any direct or
indirect damage, or maybe some data loss, caused by my modification. Use
it on your own risk. However, it worked for me and 5 other people, who
tested it on 64M and 128M hx4700s.
