Hello, hx4700 mail list subscribers.
Gentoo GNU/Linux on hx4700 project is actively begin developed now.
Currently, we have two versions working:
* stage4
You need a >=2G card to use it (unpacks to 1.1G). If you don't have one,
you can try to throw out development files (/usr/include, /usr/lib/*.a,
/var/db) and documentation (/usr/share/doc, /usr/share/man), if you don't
need it (then it shrinks to ~0.8G). It contains software, that can be
used in calculations, software development, internet browsing. Also you
can use it to build your own binary packages for Gentoo GNU/Linux.

* stage0+core
This is a new branch, that aims to be as small and customizable, as
possible. stage0 is a collection of files, that are not contained in any
other package. core is a collection of binary packages, that make your
PDA usable - desktop environment, virtual keyboard, some essential
"applets" and a virtual terminal. You can use stage0+core to install the
packages you want.
