No splashscreen...

Help!

I was just able to change the Bootloader (it seems) but after reset (and
vibration and so on...) I still get the HP splashscreen on my 5450.

CE seems to work fine with the exception the BootBlaster app starts with
a fatal application error: Illegal operation!

How can I know that a new bootloader is active? Is it possible that it
is active even without going through the splashscreen? Is it normal that
BootBlaster does not work after all this?
