Stuck at Calender button during install

IPAQ 3950

Hi,

I've reach a point where I'm stuck. I've reset my IPAQ while holding down the 
joystick button and the bootloader screen appears. But the next step asks me to 
press the calendar button and to open up a terminal. When I press the calendar 
button nothing happens. The words '<--Serial Bootloader Console' get 
highlighted but no terminal launches. 

Am I doing something wrong?
