upgrade bootldr from CF?

Is there any way to install a new bootloader from CF onto an ipaq 3900? 
 I installed Familiar 0.7.1 w/o needing to set up minicom (since it 
doesn't work for me), and was hoping that there was a Familiar linux 
equivilant to boot blaster (or at least a button to press on boot that 
would reflash the bootloader)...

I'd hate to have to reinstall PPC just to upgrade to Familiar 0.7.2
