Subject: bootldr-pxa-2.21.11 ?+ ipaq 3970(bt): boot *only* wince

Hi,

problem chain with familiar-0.7.1 boot tools:

After downloading familiar-0.7.1, and installing bootblaster 2.20.4, I was hoping to be able to install linux on my ipaq. But first the bootldr does not find any images on my CF card (OK, seems to be a problem with some types of cards since I found more ppl having the same problem (scanning for images via the rec-button results in msg "cannot read control file"), and although I would like a dualboot ipaq, I can live without it).
So I went for the "USB console" (my serial ports on my desktop are probably blown :-( ), but nothing, nada. The only thing that happens when I push the button, is that the "USB console" "menu" item lights uo in reverse video.
Same story with the "serial console" thing.

I also found a hint (form jamey to someone having trouble with a 3670 some time ago) that holding joypad, pushing reset, re-inserting ipaq in cradle, and releasing joypad would force bootldr to pop-up a "boot>" prompt, but it didn't work either (maybe it only applies to earlier versions, or maybe my ipaq is just obnoxious).

The only thing I get bootldr to do, is to boot wince, which I then have to re-init every time I reset the ipaq.

Luckily, i saved the parrot bootloader, and I am able to reload that.

Anyway, anybody got any hints on how to proceed in getting familiar (or any other flavour of linux) on my ipaq?
I am getting sick of re-initting wince ...

regards
Bertjan
