i would like to know whether it is
possible to zip a couple of files in gzip as one gz file and
later extract them independently.
is it possible to do this without using tar.?
if possible how?
i have already heard of using tar to do this
indirectly,
but in that case i am not able to extract the files
directly (in a single step) using gzip/gunzip alone.
kindly help me at the earliest.
