GNU parted bug report

Dear parted maintainer, I was using the parted that came with my Fedora Core 3 system for copy a partition from a very old 2.5 Gb disk to a newer one and I got the following response: You found a bug in GNU Parted. Please email a bug report to bug-parted@xxxxxxx containing the version (1.6.15), and the following message: Assertion (sectors <= 63) at disk_dos.c:490 in function probe_partition_for_geom() failed. I had to kill the program manually from another terminal, as it kept asking "Ignore/Cancel?" no matter what I tried (<Ctrl>-C, 'i' <Enter>, 'I' <Enter>, 'c' <Enter>, 'C' <Enter>). Yours, Juhani S.
