The integrated installers set defaults of C:\MinGW and C:\MSYS\1.0 respectively. Change the drive designator if you wish, but otherwise keep the path names unchanged. Install MinGW first, followed by MSYS; this way the MSYS installer can set up the appropriate fstab entry, and perform a rudimentary check on the MinGW installation. If you are using msysDTK, install that last. Greg has already given a pointer to explain why those who do not heed this advice may be too clever for their own good.
