You had reported this diagnostic
gcc.exe: installation problem, cannot exec `cc1'
which might indicate this problem:

C:\msys\1.0\doc\msys\MSYS_WELCOME.rtf

| The /bin and /usr/bin directories are reserved for MSYS use.
| Do not install binaries that are not dependant on the
| msys-1.0.dll into those directories. If you do you will
| surely run into problems.

If that's the problem, then try uninstalling MinGW and
reinstalling it elsewhere. If you want MSYS to find it
in its new location, edit 'C:\msys\1.0\etc\fstab'; avoid
using 'notepad' for that, because it may cause problems
by inserting carriage returns.
